MONTHS

Description

  • This function is showing the name of the months in the year.
  • A year is divided into 12 months in the modern-day Gregorian calendar.
  • The traditional concept arose with the cycle of moon phases.
  • Such months are called synodic months and last approximately 29.53 days.
  • Each month has either 28, 30, or 31 days during a common year, which has 365 days.
  • During leap years, which occur nearly every 4 years, we add an extra day, Leap Day, on 29 February, making leap years 366 days long. *This is to keep our current calendar aligned with the solar year and astronomical seasons marked by equinoxes and solstices.
  • The Gregorian calendar consists of the following 12 months:
  1. January -31 days
  2. February - 28 days/29 days
  3. March - 31 days
  4. April - 30 days
  5. May - 31 days
  6. June - 30 days
  7. July - 31 days
  8. August -31 days
  9. September - 30 days
  10. October - 31 days
  11. November - 30 days
  12. December - 31 days

Example
