MONTH(Value)

• $Value$ is the serial number of the month.
  • MONTH(), converts a serial number to a month.

Description

• This function gives the month of a given date represented by a serial number.
• In $MONTH(Value)$, $Value$ is the serial number of the month or we can give the date value in DATE function format.
• MONTH("2/1/1997") for 2nd month.
• The result of the function is an integer 1 to 12(January to December).

ZOS

• The syntax is to find the month of the given serial number in ZOS is $MONTH(Value)$.
  • $Value$ is the serial number of the month.
• For e.g.,MONTH(54178),MONTH(4000),MONTH("10/4/2014")

Examples

1. =MONTH(32786) = 10
2. =MONTH(74562) = 2
3. =MONTH("9/1/1999") = 9
4. =MONTH("20-may-2004") = 5
