ATANH(Number)

• Number is any value between -1 and 1.
  • ATANH() returns the inverse hyperbolic tangent of a number.

Description

• This function gives the Inverse Hyperbolic Tangent of a number.
• Here 'z' is any number between -1 and 1. ie $-1<z<1$
• Inverse Hyperbolic Tangent of a number is defined by $Atanh(z)={\frac {1}{2}}\log _{e}({\frac {1+z}{1-z}})$
• TANH(-z)=-TANH(z). Also ATANH(TANH(z))=z
• ATANH(1)=Infinty

Examples

ATANH(z)

• z is any real number between -1 & 1.
