LCM
- LCM is the least common multiple (also known as lowest common multiple or smallest common multiple or least common denominator (LCD) of two integers a and b.
- LCM is the smallest integer that is divisible by each of them.
- The argument can be one or many integers.
For example, What is the LCM of 2 and 5? Multiples of 2 are: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, ... and the multiples of 5 are: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, ... Common multiples of 2 and 5 are simply the numbers that are in both lists: 10, 30, .... So, from this list of the first few common multiples of the numbers 2 and 5, their least common multiple is 10.
