CODE(text)


  • is the character for which you want the ANSI code.

Description

  • Returns a numeric code for the first character of a text string.
  • It varies according to Operating environment.

Lets see an example in (Column1, Row1)

=CODE("S")

It returns 83.

Consider an another example in (Column2,Row3)

=CODE("~") CODE returns 126.
