NETWORKDAYS (start_date,end_date,holidays)
where,
- start_date represents the starting date,
- end_date represents the end date, and
- holidays is an optional range of one or more dates to exclude from the working days.
- NETWORKDAYS() returns the number of whole workdays between two dates.
Description
NETWORKDAYS(start_date, end_date, holidays)
- start_date, end_date and holidays should be entered either in 'date format' or 'dates returned using formulas'.
- If date values are invalid, Calci displays #NULL error message.
- We can use the DD/MM/YYYY format also. For Example:"14/5/2005[DD/MM/YYYY]".
- We can use Range values also. For Example: NETWORKDAYS(DATE(2012,6,1),#12/31/2012-12/31/2013)
- #date notation needs mm/dd/yy format .
Examples
Consider the following example that shows the use of NETWORKDAYS function:

Weekend days are excluded. Displays 41 as a result. =NETWORKDAYS(A1,A2,A3:A4):Calculates working days in the range of cells A1 and A2 and holidays in A3, A4.
Weekend days are excluded, A4 is overlapped with weekend day. Displays 41 as a result. =NETWORKDAYS(DATE(2012,6,1),DATE(2012,12,31)): Calculates working days between two mentioned dates.
Displays 152 as a result.
