Internship at ZCubes, Inc: "Fractal Marketing of ZCubes"

Fractals are infinitely complex patterns which are self-similar. They can be created by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop. Fractals are driven by recursion. Natural objects that are approximated by fractals include clouds, mountain ranges, snowflakes etc. A “fractal” is a fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is a reduced size copy of the whole.

Fractals by mathematical definition is a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole.

Fractal marketing uses a self-similar and self replicating approach at every node to capture and cover a market. The engineering behind the idea is to induce a “self similar self replicating nature” to the cause, using inexpensive techniques that can replicate easily and independently. The outcome of such efforts tends to be massive, as compared to expensive linear marketing strategies.

Ex: Apple's Switch campaign of 2002 and Ellen Feiss's subsequently marketed web identity. Here the outcome could not have been predicted by Apple, but the fractal waves spread beyond expectations.

Project Scope: We need a team of 5-6 innovative minds who can think out of the box, challenge the traditional marketing concepts and develop fractal based marketing plan for ZCubes, Inc. product(s)([www.zcubes.com][6]) .

Read More: There will be 2-4 mentors assigned to the team. We will supply/procure the requirements within the scope of the project. The progress of the project will be discussed in the weekly meetings and additional guidance will be provided as needed. More importantly each team member should work synergistically, rather than as a group, to build up the plan. As we have proprietary products, an NDA will be required. The team is expected to present their findings towards the conclusion of the project. A formal report will also be required elucidating the work done during the project. Product particulars and functionalities will be cogently demonstrated to the team at the commencement of the project. We want to ensure the project is exciting and challenging at the same time. We would also like to take this relationship into the future, and would love to have brilliants minds to join us in our endeavors.
